Most people see Easter as a free pass in terms of healthy eating. All that chocolate can be hard to avoid. If you want to bypass the sugar overload this year, or at the very least maintain some balance in your diet, we have some healthy food options that are perfect for Easter.
Chocolate Covered Fruit
Have the best of both worlds by combining fresh fruit and chocolate for the ultimate Easter treat. All you have to do is microwave chocolate in 30-second increments, stirring in between. Once the chocolate is completely melted and smooth use it to cover bite-sized fruit pieces such as strawberries and bananas. If you want to add a little texture sprinkle nuts on top of the chocolate. Place these in the freezer to harden. You might like to skewer them onto kabab sticks or toothpicks making them easier to eat.
